MUHAMMAD ALi DiES | Muhammad Ali, the greatest, has died at the age of 74. The former world heavyweight boxing champion, one of the world’s best-known sportsmen, died at a hospital in the US city of Phoenix, Arizona, after being admitted on Thursday.
He was suffering from a respiratory illness, a condition that was complicated by Parkinson’s disease. The funeral will take place in Ali’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, his family said in a statement.Ali, who earned the nickname ‘The Greatest’, had suffered from Parkinson’s Disease since 1984.
George Foreman has told Radio 4 Muhammad Ali was “beautiful” and “the greatest human being I ever met”. put him as a boxer would be an insult. Ali was one of the greatest human beings that I’d ever met in my life.
If you met Ali and you [were] a reporter, after meeting him you would be a better
reporter, a better actor, a better doctor. He brought out greatness in everyone.
If you talk about black and white and Ali you are considered rude. The man was bigger than black, he was better than white, he was just a human being… He was beautiful beyond talking about colours of skin.
